Introduction of V alias Kim Taehyung

Most popular member of the Bangtan Boys, V alias Kim Taehyung, who is also known as TaeTae. Beside from his wide range of vocals, V is also Known across the globe as a huge fashion icon and a talented singer. V was born on 30th December,1995 in Bisan-dong and grew up in South Korea’s Geochang County.V was interested in learning saxophone which led him to train under Big Hit Entertainment after passing the audition. TaeTae belongs from a family of farmers, V is an art aficionado and loves exploring art museums when possible. TaeTae wanted to be a professional singer when he was in school. V's father supported him to take saxophone lessons when he was in middle school for pursuing his career. V eventually became a trainee for Big Hit Entertainment after passing an audition in Daegu. V got enrolled in Global Cyber University after doing his graduation from Korean Arts High School in 2014. He graduated in Broadcasting and Entertainment in August 2020. To pursue Master of Business Administration in Advertising and media, V took admission in Hanyang Cyber University in the year 2021.
V remained as a "secret member" of BTS prior to his debut. His agency wished to keep him a surprise so he did not appear and his fans were not aware of him. TaeTae made his debut on 13th June, 2013 as a member of BTS on Mnet's M Countdown with the track "No More Dream" from their debut single album, 2 Cool 4 Skool. He co-wrote and co-produced the song "Hold Me Tight"and was credited for his music composition skill. He has major contribution in writing lyrics for the song "Fun Boyz", co-composed by bandmate Suga. For the song "Run", V's melody was used with Jungkook's original lyrics for the next album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2. Furthermore, he contributed to music composition and lyrics for a solo song called "Stigma" from the album Wings. V has also released, unofficially, a cover of "Hug Me" with bandmate J-Hope as well as a cover of "Someone Like You" by Adele. V’s second solo song, "Singularity" was released in May 2018 as the trailer for BTS' then he appeared in his third Live Performance, Love Yourself: Tear. The track made its UK radio debut on BBC Radio on October 25. A month after its release, "Singularity" was included to its "Top 50 songs by the Guardian for the month of June 2018" playlist and Billboard added it in their Critics' list of the "Top 50 BTS songs" at number 28. “Singularity” was ranked twenteith by The New York Times on its list of "The 65 Best Songs of 2018" alongside "Fake Love", LA Times Pop Music Critic Mikael Wood named it the fourth "best and most replay worthy song of 2018", and Guardian Music Critic Laura Snapes included it as one of her favourite tracks in their “Best Music of 2018: Albums and Tracks" list. As a youngest recepient V got the prestigious fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit medal, which was awarded to him by the President of South Korea along with the other members of BTS for their role in the spread of culture.
Swedish singer Zara Larsson collaborated with TaeTae and J-Hope on a song called "A Brand New Day" for the soundtrack album of their mobile game BTS World and released on June 14, 2019, which was at number one on the World Digital Song Sales chart. In March 2020, V and bandmate Jimin co-produced the song "Friends". V alsotook part in the composition and writing of his solo song, "Inner Child" on their album Map of the Soul: 7. V along with the other members of BTS was appointed Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture by South Korean President Moon Jae-in, in July 2021 to help "lead the global agenda for future generations, such as sustainable growth" and "expand South Korea's diplomatic efforts and global standing" in the international community. As an actor,V got a supporting role in KBS2's historical drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth under his real name. He and his bandmate Jin co-produced soundtrack entitled "It's Definitely You". On 8th June,2017, BTS celebrated their fourth anniversary by releasing "4 O'Clock" which he co-produced with bandmate RM.
On 30th January, 2019, V individually released his first solo track"Scenery", through the group's SoundCloud page. V wrote and composed the ballad and photographed the cover artwork which was produced by Big Hit producer Docskim, alongwith two other Big Hit producers, Pdogg and Hiss Noise. It surpassed SoundCloud records by reaching from 20 million to 100 million for the platform. Following its release, "Scenery" broke the daily streaming record nine times. After seven months, V’s second solo song was released. TaeTae’s first full English song entitled “Winter Bear” got released through SoundCloud, accompanied by a self-directed music video via BTS' YouTube channel on August 9. The track was co-produced with RM, Hiss Noise, and Adora. By using his pseudonym Vante, he photographed the cover artwork. In 2020, V participated in a song titled "Sweet Night" for the soundtrack of the JTBC drama Itaewon Class which was released on March 13. In 2021, V participated in the original soundtrack for the Studio N drama Our Beloved Summer, which premiered on December 6. The song titled "Christmas Tree", was released on December 24, which ranked 79 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned V his first solo entry on the chart. V’s voice has received a positive critical reception and praise for his vocal range and "husky" tone. He got more vocal recognition for his performance of his solo song "Stigma" that showed off his vocal range and unique musicality. V's tonality on "Singularity", the opening track of BTS' Love Yourself: Tear (2018), was noted as a prominent "tone setter" on the album by music critic Blanca Méndez, Katie Goh. Karen Ruffini of Elite Daily and Tamar Herman of Billboard stated in their article that "V... has no problem producing super soothing, low tones that are a key element in the overall sound for BTS." V's musicality is heavily inspired by Eric Benet and Ruben Studdard for his love in jazz and classical music. Since 2018, V has lived in Hannam-dong, Seoul, South Korea with his bandmates. In July 2019, he bought an apartment worth US$4.55 million.
Due to an illness V had to abstain from parts of his singing during the Love Yourself Tour in October 2018 concert. In October 2021 also V remained abstain from choreography during their Permission to Dance on Stage concerts due to a calf injury.
